Meet Gabriel
Gabriel Elijio Velásquez has called the city of Tigard home for his entire life. As an active member of Tigard’s Town Center Advisory Commission since January of 2023, and chair of Tigard’s Town Center Advisory Commission since January 2024. Gabriel remains a steadfast advocate for tackling the problems and concerns that the residents of Tigard value. His dedication to prioritizing safety, prosperity, and affordability for all people of Tigard make him the ideal candidate for his community.
Background
Gabriel is a graduate of James Templeton Elementary School, Twality Middle School, Tigard High School, and Portland State University with a bachelor's of science in political science and a minor in business administration.
Since then he has been a Field Director, a Campaign Staffer , a Legislative Staffer, a Lobbyist, a Political Strategist, a Finance Aide, and a Campaign Fundraising Associate for various political offices, campaigns, and progressive causes.
